Tanner stretched as he left the surfing shack. Any career where you had to deal with customers was an exhausting one even when you enjoyed it. What could be better than spending the day on the beach? Unfortunately even the beach could turn into a nightmare when you had to deal with people; especially customers who knew they were right even when they were wrong. He hated that the most.
Sighing he took a step ready to call it a day and go home. Stopping as something caught his eye. A girl with long fiery red hair was sitting alone watching the sunset. A small smile spread across his face as he allowed his feet to take him to her. “Can I have this seat” he asked.
She turned light blue eyes up to him. Scooting a little to the side she said “it’s beautiful isn’t it?”
“Yes it is” his eyes were on her instead of the sunset she was referring to.
Giggling she pointed “the sunset’s out there.”
“I know” he said sitting by her side “I prefer the view right here though.” He lifted a hand to stroke her long hair “beautiful.”
Sighing she hid her smile as his arm slipped around her. His hand resting on her shoulder felt warm and comfortable. Inclining her head enough to look at him “cuddles are good” she said as a nervous giggle escaped.
“What did you say” he asked smirking down at her.
“You heard me” she giggled again as he pulled her closer to him. “I said cuddles are nice especially if they’re with you.”
“That’s what I thought you said” he lifted her chin up tracing her lips with his fingers. Bending slightly towards her as he closed the gap giving her a brief tender kiss “you’ve no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.”
